There was one.

He lived up to his desires without restraining everything, living an unrestrained life.

He killed her husband to own the woman he wanted.

He made her his third wife.

His name is Felix. He was a Roman governor who was sent to Judea.

We can find him in Acts 24:22 -27.

It was before Paul was imprisoned in Caesarea prison for his mothership and transferred to Rome.

Felix was acquainted with Paul's message of Christ.

Felix calls Paul with his third wife, Drusilla.

And he asked to hear about the faith in Christ Jesus from Paul.

So Paul spoke of righteousness, self-control, and future judgment.

Felix was conscientious that he was living with two women because he couldn't control his desire.

He was afraid that he would be judged for his life.

Felix did not repent of his life after resound about righteousness and self-control and the judgement,

but feared judgment for a moment,

and used to talk to him to receive a bribe from Paul.

He is still overwhelmed by his desires,

and he loses his heart to something different from God's righteousness.

He lived without knowing where he was going.

Eventually,

after being summoned to Rome, he managed to be saved his life.

Righteousness means a right relationship with God,
What we shouldn't do before God, we must get rid of it completely.

That is self control.

Judgment is eternal punishment for those who do not believe in God,

For God's children, it means God's counting.

Ecclesiastes 11:9-10 says:

Be happy, young man, while you are young,

and let your heart give you joy in the days of your youth.

Follow the ways of your heart and whatever your eyes see,

but know that for all these things God will bring you to judgment.

Also, Ecclesiastes 12:14 warns:

For God will bring every deed into judgment,

including every hidden thing, whether it is good or evil.

Matthew 12:36 says:

But I tell you

that men will have to give account on the day of judgment

for every careless word they have spoken.

Condemning someone else.

Trying to form a bond with someone through someone else's gossip.

Trying to make up for my deficiencies by telling someone else's fault.

Trying to get satisfaction by comparing someone else's deficiency with my abundance, etc.

Are these all?

There are a lot of addiction to various things such as pornography, violence, cheating,
and an act of manipulating others, etc.

This tells us

that it is not in accordance with God's righteousness to curse and mislead others

by freely playing the tongue without restraining one's desire to speak.

There is one thing to keep in mind.

It would not be able to escape judgment if we were not to say what we should,

and if we was silent for our own selfish purposes-especially, turning away from saving lives.

If you are a child of God, you really shouldn't.

I have a mission to open my lips today

and spread the way of salvation to those who are in my realm of life.

Acts 4:12 testifies.

Salvation is found in no one else,

for there is no other name under heaven given to men by which we must be saved.

We must preach the word of God that we can only be saved through Christ.

Also, a person who believes in Christ must live a life of righteousness and self-control

in accordance with his will and prepare to stand humbly before the judgment of Christ.

Is it easy to control our whole body, lips and our lives?

Again, we have to rely on Christ Jesus.

I pray earnestly

that the Holy Spirit will help my whole body, words, and thoughts

be with God's righteousness and temperance

until the day of the Lord's judgment.

In Jesus' name, Amen.
